save energy
Many manufacturers are changing the way they produce products to learn new ways to conserve energy. Many businesses are looking for the most efficient and eco-friendly way to make so called “greener” products. However, it doesn’t effect your energy generator provider how much an individual uses or doesn’t use their electricity. The main way to see the increase or decrease in electrical dependence is by looking at the bills. Some homes made the choice to change light bulbs so that they can be more energy efficient and help make the world a healthier place. Downtown office buildings once left their lights on all night on the theory that it was cheaper to burn the extra juice than send a maintenance worker around every few months to change the tubes. Some other brands of energy saving light bulbs can reduce energy and costs by almost ten percent. This may not seem like a lot but when it decreases the amount of energy being used, it makes the world of a difference. People go by one rule, if your going to be out of a room for more than 15 minutes then the sensible thing to do is to turn off the lights to conserve energy.

The government is also taking a positive role in setting an example for others. They want a healthy environment for everyone who lives inside of it, and by them demonstrating the Earth hour it will give an example of what the people should do to keep the economy better and easier to live in. To prove to the people of the world that they want a better environment, the lights will be turned off in 63 Ontario government offices during Earth Hour and the province said it is taking steps to reduce its energy consumption all year round.
